CALABAR JAZZ FESTIVAL

The maiden edition of the Calabar International Jazz Festival is set to take place. With the programme, the state seems to be boosting its fame as one of the cultural and entertainment capitals of Nigeria. The Jazz Festival however is also set to become an annual event as information from the state government indicates that huge success has been recorded from previous jazz concerts held during the Calabar Festival. To be present at the show are D'Angelo and Eric Benet from the US, Jonathan Butler, South Africa and Nigerian stars such as Asa, Darey, Bez and Burna Boy. During daytime visitors will also have the opportunity to have a feel of the Calabar landscape as plans are also being made for excursions. This jazz festival is set to hold from 29-31 March 2013. Also set to feature will be fabulous VIP after-parties, including an intimate reception hosted by His Excellency Governor Liyel Imoke.
